Sperr Memorial Park to be Replaced with Project Milo

Sperr Memorial Park in Horseheads, NY, is a tribute to New York State Trooper Andrew J. Sperr, who was fatally shot on March 1, 2006, while on patrol. The park, located off Lowe Road near the site of his death, was dedicated in 2009 and reflects Sperr’s love for nature and the outdoors. It features walking trails, ponds, picnic areas, a pavilion, and a playground, making it a peaceful space for community gatherings and remembrance.
